We’re constantly looking for ways to improve our sustainability practices, and we’ll be sure to keep our customers up-to-date with any changes to the following recycling information.
TEA
One of the best parts about enjoying our teas is that the leaves and bags can be used to brew more than once. If your pot is empty but you’re not quite done, just add some more hot water and steep again. If you’re finished enjoying your tea, just pop the leaves or bags directly onto your garden beds, or into the compost or your council provided green waste system. That’s really all there is to it., and your plants will love them just as much as you did.
PACKAGING
Our stand up zip pouches are able to be fully recycled through RedCycle. With 10 years operational experience in Australia and drop off points located all over the country, RedCycle makes recycling soft plastics easy.
Once you’re done enjoying your The Tea Window teas, take your empty ziplock pouches to your nearest RedCycle drop-off point and they’ll ensure they’re turned into new recycled products and not end up in landfill here or overseas.
MAILER BAGS
Our mailing bags are sourced from the amazing Australian company: Hero Packaging. Not only are their products Australian owned and made, but they are 100% compostable, even in your home composting system. They can be used more than once if opened correctly, and when their journey shipping The Tea Window goodies around Australia is complete, simply pop them into your home compost bin or your council provided green waste disposal.
