The Future is Green

Move over coffee, there’s a new latte king in town! Matcha is a bit of a wonder food that we’ve discussed over on our blog before… But all you really need to know is that it tastes good, it has caffeine, and it’s a dream in a latte!

There’s a lot of different ways you can put these together. Some prefer them hot like a traditional coffee latte, others like them iced, with coconut milk, frothed or not frothed and sometimes even combined with coffee. A matcha latte is a modern fusion of different styles, so there’s really no right or wrong way to do it, which is what makes it so fun!

The basic foundation of all of these are:

  1. Matcha powder, mixed with hot water.
  2. Your choice of milk

Instructions:

  1. In a measuring cup or bowl, add the matcha powder. Pour in the 1 to 2 tablespoons of hot water and whisk until the matcha has fully incorporated into the water.
  2. Fill a glass of ice and add your milk of choice.
  3. Lastly, pour in the chilled matcha and stir.
